Riverstone is a Sri Lankan Sinhala drama–thriller that follows the journey of three police officers escorting a prisoner through the mountainous regions of Sri Lanka.
As they travel together on this tense road trip, each character is burdened with personal struggles, moral conflicts, and emotional dilemmas. The prisoner—who appears calm and reflective—gradually becomes a mirror that exposes the hypocrisy, fears, and inner conflicts of the officers.
What begins as a routine transfer mission slowly transforms into a deep exploration of duty, justice, and humanity, questioning the blurred line between right and wrong. The journey ultimately becomes not just physical, but psychological and philosophical, highlighting themes of power, morality, and the human condition.
